The 15. International animated film workshop was organized from June 15th to 22nd, with participation of 18 students from several places in Croatia and Totszerdahely in Hungary.
The workshop leaders were Sarah Klein from USA and Ekaterina Mikhaylova from Russia, who explained their experiences and personal stiles in animation to young participants and help them to realize two short animated films.
The group of kids who worked with Sarah Klein created 3 minutes long film (GOOD NIGHT, LET THE BUGS BITE) in cut out technique. Although most of the children worked in this technique for the first time, they succeeded to realize very nice and interesting film.
Another group (with Ekaterina Mikhaylova) did a puppet animation (WALK), in which they used two professional made puppets from one Ekaterina’s film, but also created own character and set designs.
Both films were shown at the last day of the workshop, together with selected films of Sarah and Ekaterina, and the films from SAF studio.
All participants had opportunity to spend one day at the picnic at river Mura and swimming in St. Martin spa.
